ca18det ecu on ka24de

First off im new to the forum...
Hi everyone!

ok my question is is it possible to use the ca18det ecu on the ka24de.
i havea ca18det ecu socketed with a eprom programmed to the ka24de only to find out tonite that the plugs are different. is there anything i can do or some kind of adapter i can buy to make the thing work.

edit* Forgot to mention i drive a champaigne colored 93 240sx fastback with a 5-speed
and that the whole reason for the eprom and ecu was to use a q45 maf. i have the eprom programmed to accomadate the q45 maf (supposedly)

im using the stock ecu right now. i wasa going to use the ca18 ecu because it has the prom option without a daughterboard. so there is no way to convert to use the ca ecu?

you could but it would suck. just get a safc or greddy emanage if you want to do your own tunes. youd have to repin/rewire almost if not everysingle wire to the corresponding pin. a guy use a sr ecu on ca, he just made a adapter harness and then tuned the sr ecu since he worked at jim wolfe.

anyways i would just get emanage honesttly, but ineresting idea. i think sohc ka might be easier and i beleive that is as reprogambel as ca.

I dont see how this would work at all... CA ecu = 8-bit, KA ecu = 16-bit. CA = distributorless, KA = distributor.

It would work.
It's just like rigging up a haltech that uses distributorless.
Mad hours would need to be done in order to splice a harness. Then consider more hours to install all the individual coils for the CA18det ecu. Not worth it in my opinion.
Unless you go KA24DET then I would suggest to try something like that since the ecu is already mapped for boost, and the rod/stroke ratio between the 2 engines are similar. It would probably make better HP numbers than the KA24de stock ecu with no retune.
8bitters are a bit outdated, but they are super easy to tune (with a cheap rom editor).

If you want to make your own Nissan OEM clip and harness you can purchase the parts at www.digikey.com

I sold a guy a set of injectors on there for $190 shipped, then bought them back two months later from the same guy for $150 shipped.
