have rb25 swap on my 95 240sx need quiet exaust any idea?

was thinking of going with a megan racing exaust and then have a 2foot 3inch resonator installed

or have a custom 3inch exaust with a HKS tip and 2 2foot resonators installed for 390$

I would stay away from N1 style or any other canister mufflers for quiet. Look for something with a larger oval style muffler.

It's not good to have two resonators the same size. It would be better to have a 1 foot and then a 3 foot down the pipe. Short one takes care of the high pitched tones and the long one the lower tones. Resonators blend out harsh tones so the system sounds balanced.

I just sold a freshly done RB25 install in a S13 and we went custom 3 inch piping with a very nice large Magnaflow 3" inlet 2.5"dual tip outlet. Looks stock. Sounds good not to loud at all. It has a deep low growl but like I said cops don't even notice it. Its as loud as a G35 or 350z at the loudest,i.e. stock car sounding. can be done for a very reasonable price and below the price you were quoted on that dual resonator setup.
I am actually probably taking off my Buddy Club Spec II exhaust off my RB car and putting a identical setup on.

It's going to be quiet no matter what you put on it.

I had both the Blitz Realize TT and Apex'i GT Spec on mine and they're about equal with the GT Spec being a little quieter. The Rb25 is more of a smooth sound then a loud one.

Just put in a cat and a resonator to your favorite exhaust.

You could even put more resonators if you still don't like it afterwards.

You have to decide what is better for you. Louder, more power. quiet, less power. Unless you want to spend money to have a quiet car with the same power.

I heard and saw this car in person. The exhaust sounded pretty good. Really aggressive if you got on it, but if you want stealth I would recommend something of that nature.

Like I said earlier BRM exhaust. They use Magna Flow mufflers in single or dual tip. Greg owns BRM and is also the CEO and moderator at NICO. $450 for a 3" is the way to go.....

after installing my blitz realize tt exhaust, it has got to be the quietest 3" exhaust out there for a 240sx. i dont have my stereo in yet and i still cant hardly hear the car at idle. if you have an aluminum driveshaft though, it takes a bit of modification to the premuffler to fit.

here is a clip of it at the track so you can hear it. its deep and it sounds good at wot. but its definitely super quiet for me having complete engine back exhaust. http://media.putfile.com/sr-track-vid-1

also, the greddy power extreme 2 is supposed to be super quiet. i just like the look of the big muffler much better than the normal "fart can" look.

dont be brm, you might as well go buy the magnaflow stuff they use and find a local shop that will make you a custom exhaust.

Why not??? The BRM 2.5" showed 7.2WHP on the dyno with no other modifications for the KA. I would rather buy something that has results, than buy an exhaust with no results at all..... It is still a Magna Flow......

I vouch for the RSR ExMag. On my KA it's relatively quite when you're cruising, and have heard this exhuast on an SR. Very quiet in comparison to other 3 in catbacks.

Blitz Nur Spec is very quiet on RB25, I wish I still had the video on the dyno. Mine was really quiet and I was running hollowed out cat.
