How to seal shroud against radiator?

I am going to be using a Taurus fan on my Koyo, and the fan/shroud fits damn near perfect, except on the ends there is about a 3/4" gap between the shroud and the radiator core. What can I use to seal this gap up? I was looking in the autoparts store and all they seemed to have was some dinky weatherstripping.

Window Weld works wonders. What's wrong with the weatherstrip?

Garage door weatherstripping is nice.

jb weld, rtv and duct tape to fill gap between fan shroud and radiator? Oh man that is really ghetto and will look like ass... I second the weather stripping or foam tape of some kind, it'll probably seal better and look much better.

How are you attaching the fan/shroud to the radiator? With my altima dual fan I just ended up using zip ties on the top and bottom corners, but there is probably a better way. If you don't already know this, how close the blades are to the core plays a huge role in how well they pull air through the raidator (sealing around the shroud will really help too). At one point I had some overheating problems that were caused by me not using zip ties on the bottom of the fans, which caused them to pull away from the core about 1" and pretty much killed the cooling effect of the fans == overheat. The taurus fan has a much nicer shroud so it's probably won't be as big of a problem for you... You should post some pictures when you have them happily installed

It'll only look ghetto if you don't put enough time in it. If you do it right, it'll look good.

Just spend some good time on it. Do it cleanly and paint it. Haha
