FICD Valve Compatibility

I'm nearing the end of a 1998 KA24DE into a 1991 S13 swap.

I swapped all of the components from the 91 onto the 98 engine. While I was dropping the engine into the car, I smashed the FICD valve sensor.

Luckily I kept the 98 KA intake manifold. The 98 FICD looks identical to the 91 FICD except for a different outer plug type. If I manage to plug the 98 FICD into the 91 harness (splice, etc), will it work the same as the 91 unit?

What's a FICD valve? Fast Idle Control Dingdong. It raises the idle when the AC is turned on. It is located at the lower back of the intake manifold. It is a 2" long hex-shaped piece of metal with a plastic plug for the harness at one end and a plunger at the other.
