![]() I put on new pads but the piston was out too far. I tried to turn it to get it to retract but it wouldnt go back. While turning it the cup that sits in the seal bursts out and brake fluid comes pouring out. I get the cup back in and it goes all the way back. I knew I had fucked up so i try the brakes and they dont work at all. I knew they wouldnt work because of something to do with fluid but I dont know how to go about fixing it. Any help would be great.

I just had to post this before my friends got here to help. I knew my front brakes werent working but i knew my e-brake did. Went to change the rear left caliper thinking the other caliper would stay tight. I was wrong. Car rolls back off the jack lands in the middle of my foot. Just thought id add that cuz im not in a good mood right now.

next time, you can open the bleeder screw to relieve hydraulic pressure as you turn in the piston. just be prepared to make a mess. and don't forget to add fluid as you bleed, because your fluid will be low after doing this.
