Will Nissan work on swapped cars?

I bought my car about a month ago and the wiring is all taped together and well, lets just say I doubt it came that way from the factory. I think my car had the KA24E and the DE was swapped into it. Will a Nissan Delaership work on my car?

If you're willing to pay Dealership Labor prices, I don't see why they wouldn't do it.

^^Yep, but why pay those prices? Go to a reputable shop that knows swaps and go from there. Some Nissan dealerships are stupid.
* cough, Pinnical Nissan in Scottsdale, AZ cough*

(im from Arizona and they tried screwing me on my 300z TT)

Ummmm...!!!!!

If you just have the KA24DE in your car, and it is just the EFI harness that is messed up, just order a brand new KA24DE harness, and plug it in. It is a really basic install, and it will be less than paying the dealer for repair of an old harness.

Hit up JUSTIN at west covina nissan! He will hook you up with a harness.

Justins Profile here.

Yay!

im pretty sure they wont if there are any major mods done to it or if its not close to how it came from the dealership. One of my cars has quite a bit of mods done to it and the dealership told me the mechanic wouldnt touch it. They'll probably just try to sell you all new shit, which the bill will probably be more than the cars worth. Your best bet is to go to a hole in the wall shop with experienced mechanics, and get charged half the price.

Well my buddy took his SR to a Nissan Dealership and they didnt bat a eye. It was in Winston Salem, NC. Underhood fire and they had to replace tons of shit. Cost him a leg, nut, and arm but it runs again. Who know's? Different shop different rules I guess?

You should be fine, however if you have the extra time I would insist on doing it yourself. What do need them to do?

How about you take it straight to the source and call the shop you want to work on your car? Each shop is managed individually and some shops like to work on all cars while others only want to work on stock cars. It depends on the shop management.

Well I am having this stupid KA bogging issue and there is like 9 different things that could be causing it and I am at school and dont really have the time or tools at my disposal to work on it, or figure out wtf is causing the problem. It runs pretty good to like 3500 then breaks up real bad up top under hard accel. In first and second gear its the worst. I know there are at least 30 different threads on this but it seems that everyone is guessing in the dark in them because there are so many different things causing it and everyones issues are all slightly different. The wiring is pretty rigged and looking into buying a new stock harness prolly isnt the worst idea. I considered taking it to a shop but I would rather take it to a Nissan dealership, break the bank a lil bit and know that the problem is fixed. I just bought the car and it runs like shit, I just want it running the way it should ASAP. Taking it to a hole in the wall shop with this kind of issue I figured could be pretty hit or miss. The end of the school year is approaching and I am pretty fuckin broke to be blunt. I wont be doing anything for a month or so but I just wanted to know what you guys thought. Can anyone recommend any shops in the Pittsburgh, PA area? Or the Erie, PA area? Live in da burgh but go to school in Erie.

You need to be short and concise. I read all that and I still don't know what you're asking. Less useless stream-of-consciousness irrelevant details, and more short, concise information. We don't need to know your life story. Just describe what exactly your problem is.

This question is better suited for the regional forum.

why dont you just pick up another used dohc harness. they are not that expensive, easy to find, and you only need a few tools to take the old one off and put a new one on
