I have a 90 hatchback, and got a antenna off of another S13, but that antenna was so easy to take off, and mine is mindboggling!  If anyone has any deas as to how to get it off please help me.  It is broken off right at the base, and the rubber/pastic boot doesn't have a nut or anything to loosen, like the one i just got.  thanks in advance,
-zac

Take a picture is it electric? If it is then go to the trunk take off the panel you should see bolts feel around and see if they go to the antenna take them out and workit out of the rear well. I need to see it because I have changed several antennas but they were all out of Silvias and 180's not 240's and I think it is different??

ok, i cant take a picture but i can discribe it a little bit better. &nbsp; If you are looking directly down at the antenna there are no nuts or fasteners, just smooth plastic. &nbsp;I have taken all the panels off *was a fukin bitch* and felt around in the fender, but couldn't figure anything out. &nbsp;I then grabbed a whrench and started to twist the top of the plastic but that didn't work. &nbsp;I don't have any kind of fancy tools or anything either that i could use to get to the underside of the antenna. &nbsp;I don't know what it is like on other 240's but i can't see any part of the antenna from inside the trunk?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>??

When you're looking down at the top of the black plastic ring, are there two slots on the inside of the hole that look like you could fit a 1/2" screwdriver head into?

rm taylor is correct. you should be able to see 2 holes where you can fit snap ring pliers in there ir a needle nose or 2 pocket screw drivers loosen it and viola. te antenna should come out after that.

if its power, once u get the cover off have someone turn the radio one while you pull up on the antenna to remoce it and install in reverse : turn radio off while feeding plastic into antenna motor put cover back on and your done

Anyone know of a smaller antenna that you can use on an s13 f/b? Mine's broken, and if possible, i'd like to stay away from mechanical.

i have a power antenna too...and its also broken. &nbsp;Don't buy the one off ebay...i figured out a way it could fit on there and actually carry a signal but the signal sucks and the fit is kinda ghetto rigged...I'm thinking ill just have to get another power antenna somewhere. &nbsp; The problem is that the signal wire goes directly to the antenna...not to some sort of base where the antenna would screw in.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket antenna? Mine was broken so I changed it (didn't use the box that was on with the factiry antenna) by figuring out wich ones constant power, remote power, and ground but didn't work. So I rewired the remote and constant power straight from the head-unit but still didn't work. Does any one know how?
