I know there are some type of latch but i want to know the exact name, i seen diferent kinds of them some chrome, mostly at drift events but this is the only picture I could find.

Rubber Boat Latches.

You can get the legit racing quick releases at pegasusautoracing.com or anyother racing parts distributer.

will those things brake loose if you get youyr bumper caught on something? If not than they suck. Zip ties are the shit. 1/2 my car is held together by them...lol

they release if you hook your bumper on a rock or whatever. stronger than zipties though, but they arent gonna mess up your bumper if it rips off. they were rubber boat latches

hahahah i had a million zip ties on my car and i dont have any sort of body kit anything...so yeh they have slowly been removed and consolidated over time

took me time to fix certain things on the car

Well I'm probably going to get a couple sets of these, my friend is rolling (I wont lie) a riced out civic and I have a stockish body miata so one on each side should do I think.

sombody could unlock my hoodpins and steal my plug wires too

also they could stick a coathangar in my window and open my door and unbolt the door and steal it

also my steering wheel comes off

but yeah dzus fasteners are a COMPLETE bitch to line up right, takes so long to install. i liked the rubber latches when i had them, harder to pop them loose than a zip tie but they would still pop loose if you drug somthing hard, where as the solid metal latches would just rip a hole in your bumper. i dont run them anymore though, new bumper is just on with zipties and screws.

Basicly yea, but how many thieves are going around look for attractive front bumpers to steal, IMO if the thief wanted my bumper that bad he would take it latches or not.
