Kei Office coilovers aren't available anymore. What was Kei Office is now known as DG5 in Japan.

What are you going to do when time comes for rebuild?

If the coils can't be serviced, then they sound useless imo.

Does that make it any harder to get them rebuilt than it already was, or will DG5 recognise Kei Office and rebuild them?

^even if they do its still a pita to send your shit out to japan to have it rebuilt. KTS's are great for the money. Ive driven on silkroads, and the name says it all, its like driving on silk roads. There not dampened as agressively as the KTS's. Both are compareable and very good.

There's a ton of places to get coilovers rebuilt locally for faster and cheaper then sending them to the manufacturer.

If I was gonna get some coilovers for daily driving, they would not be some fancy pants hard to rebuild coils for sure awe factor.

If you want to be different, get like. . .a crazy paint job or something.

I would get something that I can have minimal downtime on when a rebuild comes.

I have Apex N1s and they're alrite. Megan makes them for Apex i believe. Megan is a lot cheaper than the Apex N1 if you're not looking for name wise.

I've ridden on Kei office XR's and I was pretty impressed. The ride was very smooth and dampening worked well. Very little body roll and smooth ride. I can't say much more because I wasn't the one driving.

I know a few people on the boards have Kei Office coilovers.. maybe they can chime in.

YOu have N1 EXV's they are a lot different than Apex N1's as in pro's. Plus your valving is different than the Megans. On top of that Megan does not make Megan they market them. Megan's are made in a factory in Taiwan that sells to lots of different people.

dude, you fail.

Apexi' coilover breakdown
N1 Pro = the pimp shit
N1 Type V = variant of the pimp shit
World Sport = american market crap
N1 ExV = entry level, NOT MADE BY MEGAN

Search for the megan and exV threads and educate yourself

Was the main reason why the Kei office coils are no longer made was because of the fact they would break very easily??

I just got silkroads. Nicely damped, firm without being harsh. No experience with Kei Office, though. For rebuilding, I'd have to send it to japan, but from what I hear, they are pretty fast.

Here are some specs on the Silroads'

*8-way adjustable
*Pyro-Ball upper mounts
*Spring rates:
S14 - 8.0/7.0kg
S13 - 8.0/6.0kg
RS13/RPS13 - 8.0/7.0kg
*Adj. front Pillow Ball
*Rigid aluminium rear mount
*Inverted monotube dampers

I just installed them and they are great. I had sportline springs but coilovers and deffinetely better. I have a s14 so, the 8/7 is sometimes a little harsh for daily driving but handling improvements are amazing. I sacrifice comfort for control. Very worth the $$$

If you are going to be daily driving this car, you aren't going to want to drive on anything stiffer than 8/7 or 9/7. You are going to have to sacrifice in certain areas if you are building a car that is going to be streetable and run on the track.

I'm pretty sure you can get Silkroads with custom spring rates if that's really what you want.

ok 1 more question, kind of a newb question though, was wondering if i get the custom spring rate of lets say 10/8kg, would the suspension be really stiff, or could i adjust it so that it would feel like 8/7? im just getting it so that i have that 10/8 option available incase i need it for tracks, in other words on the specs, wen it says 10/8kg that just means thats the springs limit right? it can be adjusted from 3/1kg - 10/8kg? correct me if im wrong, btw thanks for all the input people, im leaning towards the silkroads since there is also a group buy for it.

The only way to adjust spring rate is to physically change the springs.

you can adjust the dampening of the shocks, not the spring rates
