S13 -> Z32 ebrake

ok, everyone says the z32 ebrake lines fit perfectly up to the s13 t-bracket. Now, I've even seen pictures of unaltered z32 ebrake lines fit: http://stillensucks.com/Project_Silv...arking_brakes/

but why is it, after trying to reroute the lines a number of ways, that the z32 lines come up pretty short (less than a foot), and without the slack pictured above . now, do the ebrake lines differ from year to year?

Also, has anyone tried the ebay adapter: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S13-2...pagenameZWD1Vi I'd avoid splicing if possible.

Can any one confirm this???

I will soon be doing the rear z32 setup, so I'd like to get everything together before I start. I also thought the r33 cables were used for the s14. But I've also heard of using the cables from the 300zx 2+2.

Has anybody used any of these setups on an s13? What works and what dosen't? I'm not interested in splicing cables together....

Have you tried loosening the screw adjustment at the actual e-brake? It wont make up for a foot but it might help. The 2+2 Z32 e-brake cable should be about 6inches longer but I think all other Z32 e-brake cables should be the same. I have the Z32 2+2 cables which were too long, but not so long that a trip to your local Home Depot could not fix . I did not have to splice any cables and have unlimited adjustment of length.

don't use the ebay kit. I had it. it hit the drive shaft cuz you have to mount it up out of the way. So i made a mount for the cables and it was still a problem. The cables ends snapped and didn't work to well. I would get the longer z32 cables.

yeah, i didn't have time for all that stuff, so i just spliced it and all the lines now come together. i'm just having problem with the stopper thingy that holds back the outer cable sheath, but it's not going to be a big problem... i'm thinking a self tapping screw would do the trick.

R33 works for S14.
Z32 NA works for S13, 2seater will be tight and need rerouting, 2+2 is too long and needs to be routed differently as well.
Z32 TT does not work, uses different ends.

Common knowledge for the past 10 years. Welcome to Earth everyone.

well, that's what i thought too until i tried it. i know of, and have seen others who did not have to splice the cable, but when i hooked everything up it was way short even after trying a number of ways to reroute the cable.

well russ is right
i did both on s13 and s14 w/ z32 rear brakes
and russ is right one
s13 bolted up no problems, NA regular (not 2+2) fit perfect
s14 is r33, but i got YANACK lines when i was in japan and they fit perfect, but im sure its R33 lines anyways.
