Wiring S13 silvia fog lights to pop up switch?

I just did a Silvia front end on my pignose s13 and I herd you can wire the fog lights to a wire from the pop up plug and you can turn on and off the fogs with the switch by the steering wheel. If anyone has done this and knows what color wires I hook up to the lights let me know. I'd rather find out the wires I need to use then test them all.

Thanks
JAmes

ok..I did everything in that link you've posted G6 and everything works. my problem is that the switch keeps the fogs on..even with the key removed..is there a way to keep the fogs on only when the headlights are activated? or should I utilize the factory wiring that is in place for the factory fogs? TIA

You need to pull the grey relay (headlamp retract relay) located on the passanger side by the battery.

The purpose of the thread was to use the retractor switch to operate the foglamps independently of the headlamps and ignition switch.

If you want the fog to come on with the headlamps, DON'T DO WHAT THE THREAD TELLS YOU TO DO. Just wire the foglamps to the brown wire on the retractor motor harness.

ok..so just put back the gray relay and the only thing I'll lose is the ability to control the fogs independently with the only bad side effects is the random flickering...hmm...guess I'm gonna try to utilize that factory fog wiring. thanks for the help guys.

btw G6...any way of making the side orange marker stay on and flicker when the turn signals are activated? that same wiring can't see 2 positives at once? maybe use a diode to control the backflow of current going to the constant source when it sees a turn signal current? hope I'm making sense for you.
