I did a search but couldn't find anything so I don't know if this is covered anywhere. Is there a way to tell what blacktop I have?

So how is it you don't know the difference betwtween the engine you "bought" and the one's that preceeds or follows it? I know the owner, or seller spoke some knowledge to you about the engine ??!?!?

Does the back of the valve cover have a hump, w/ a lump on the front?

s14 zenki sr
s14 kouki sr
s15 sr
s13 redtop w/ a blacktop motor sr
s13 blacktop sr
ka24e painted black valve cover
or ka24de painted black valve cover

got any pics? or the ECU code? it is far more helpful thanks
