I guess the real question is are you willing to do your own work? If you're not, then it'll cost you a lot more so you might have to pick and choose what you replace at first until you can get more money.
If so, I'd replace the fluids (oil/trans/diff/brake/coolant). I'd consider replacing the air filter and fuel filters depending on their condition. Top off Battery/Washer/Power Steering Fluids. I'd replace the spark plugs. I'd replace the plug wires/cap/rotor. I'd check the brake pads/brake rotors/tires/bushings/and replace as needed. I'd check for any engine/transmission/steering leaks before you buy the car so you can take that into account. Take it to a Nissan dealership and as for a courtesy inspection if you're unsure of what to look for. Oh, you'll also want to check the timing and make sure the throttle cable doesn't have any slack in it. That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

The KA uses a timing chain, with a chain guide that many like to get rid of if they've got the valve cover open. Thats what I did when I changed the valve cover seal... supposedly quiets the engine down considerably without losing any "performance" or safety whatever. I didn't actually notice a huge difference, but it was fun actually working in there. Made me feel.... LIKE A MAN! ... hahahaa... anyway.
Sorry for the OT spin towards the end. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=' ![]()
