7:50am this morning I pulled out of my apt complex. I came up to a light and turned right. As I drove down the road there is somewhat of a blind hill. I noticed a school bus in the right hand land had stopped at the railroad tracks and as I glance into my lane I was shocked to see a tiny little car stopped as well. There was a Ford Explorer behind him, and as I locked up the brakes and pulled slightly to the left I struck the explorer from behind. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

The hood bent in half, my right headlight was crumpled into a ball and thrown into the street. The right fender is torn in half and all jacked up. The frame behind the right headlight is mauled. And for the most part the front bumper just has a few scratches.

Its very close to wether or not they are going to total the car. I was in a similar accident last year only much lighter and it ran my insurance company $3k. I know that this is at least $4-$5k and my car's value is only about $4k. I should have pictures up shortly after I get everything settled.

I think that if the car is NOT totalled, I won't bother with anything fancy like a cool new front end or front bumper. At the very most maybe a carbon fiber hood. But right now I just really want my car to be fixable. I just bought it maybe a month ago.

More to come.
