Boost Controller and other questions
Today while getting new tint on my car I talked to a guy with a supra and hes selling an old school greddy boost controller that kinda looks like the type s but was before the profec b. Its for sale for only fifty dollars. It also comes with a button on the steering wheel that controls either low or high boost. I just wanted to see if those had any problems.
Also Im having problems on startup with my sr20. It starts well when its cold and I dont have any problems. However, when I try to start it up when its warmed up I often need to give it some gas. Do yall know what could be the problem for this? Thanks |

That profec is fine... I mean it all really comes down to whether if you know how to wire it up, I really doubt you will have any big problems for it. Its just a boost controller, won't make your car fly or anything....
As per your problem with the SR, check your ignitors, check your injectors and check your FPR. Also check your spark plugs to see if they will tell you anything. Secondly during cold start the computer will automatically give it a leaner mixture so that the engine warms up faster. The spark plugs should tell you a lot on how your mixture is. If you dunno how to read spark plugs, google it.... you can find something for sure. Good Luck |

oh ok. I guess the problem is me running too rich. I still backfire a little even though my bov is recirculated and maybe my fuel pressure is too high. I think it is a profec a. What are the problems with setting it up?

4 - up
3 - down (on) 2 - up 1 - down (on) you have a actuator type turbo...if you find that when you have your gain set all the way down and are "overboosting" change the switches to 4 - down (on) 3 - up 2 - up 1 - down (on)
