KA 91 240sx intake & chain guide question

Hi, I just bought a 91 240sx LE about a week ago. Itz my 1st nissan, n i like it, itz fun. anway, I've changed most of the fluids, and planning for some mod to the car. I am planning to get an intake system for my car, and i found this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-94...QQcmdZViewItem

I have kind of compare the tubin design w/ the oem one, and I found out that there are couple tube that goes into the oem intake piping does not exist in the ebay one.

there is one that connect from the air filter box to another box thatz kinna above the header, and there is another one w/ ~2" diameter thatz kinna @ 11 o'clock of the radiator cap.

is it ok to remove those connectors w/o disable some of the original features?

my car has a/c, abs, hicas, n criuse control. I dun want to lose any of them.....

I have tried the search tool, but it doesnt seems to gimme any help.

also, I found a site where it showed how to remove the guides, but i lost it now. it has picture in it, i tried 240sx.org faq, n couldnt find the picture one. Can some1 post the link here plz.

one last question. where can i get some cheap short shifter ~80usd? well, not cheap, but good price compare w/ quality.

Thanks in advance.
