where to hook boost gauge light to?

i ran the power wire to that little power wire for the center console ash tray lightup.. not workign, anyone???
i want it to only come on when headlights are on..

where is your boost gauge located at? You can hook up to the radio lumination wire if near center console. If near the steering wheel, use the dimmer switch.

Also about your problem, did you use a volt meter or test light to see if that gets power? Maybe bad connection?

iirc the illumination wire for stock radio is blue. correct me if im wrong. But if you have an aftermarket radio/cd player you can hook up to the headlight power anywhere between the headlight switch and the light bulb.

You're wrong.

Illumination feed is red/blue, dimmer wire is red/yellow. Both found behind every switch in the dash, the radio, and the cluster.

I also hooked mine up to the dimmer switch, so that I can adjust the brightness to be consistent with the cluster
