man you guys should consider moving on to newer games.. thats like saying "playstation forever!!" when newer and more modern games are out.. not hating cs, but dam when you guys still play 1.6 or wahtever, its kinda old.. i did that shit back in 1999 or whatever lol

FEAR is very fast paced. it's a good game. the multiplayer is extremely fun, but not too deep. single player absolutely rocks. standard modes are CTF and DM, and TDM of course.

FEAR has a few things that set it apart. in sp mode you can activiate matrix style slow-mo bullet time. in mp you only get this ability with the king of the hillish deathmatch mode. basically the player with a special device is the only one who can activate slow mo. he glows bright blue so everyone knows where he is. when he dies, he drops it and anyone can pick it up.

FEAR also has alot of melee attacks. there's a jumping roundhouse kick, a slide kick, and a forward jumping double kick. there's also your standard gun melee bash. they are all usually one hit kills.

finally, you carry around a stash of medpacks. when you activate a medpack, its an instant 25 or so hp. i forget exactly how much. players drop them when you kill them, and they also spawn around the maps. being able to use them intelligently mid-firefight is a really important skill.

graphics are awesome. the gun/smoke effects are quite unlike anything i've seen in a game before. sometimes you have to stop shooting b/c you've kicked up so much dust you can't see your target anymore.

definitely give it a try, especially since its free.
