Viper 791xv Problem

I just "finished" installing the car on my '95 240sx, but the car won't start. I turn the key and the dash lights come on and then nothing, if I try again the lights won't even come on. The rest of the alarm works fine, the doors lock/unlock and the alarm goes off when I open the hood or door. Anyone have any ideas?

I looked at it again, and the fuse wasn't blown, it just stops working for a while. I am going to recheck all my wiring to look for a short. I used the Black/Yellow wire for the starter connections, should I have used the Black/White one? Also I haven't done anything with the clutch bypass yet, could that be causing it?

it sounds like u've got a short somewhere, recheck your wiring and see if there are any places that bare wire is exposed.

did u tap both starter wires? nissans have a cold start wire that u hafta power up to start also. also double check ur grounds. if the ground is bad the whole thing will act funny. the hazzard should not blow unless u taped it for ur parking lites. i would undo the white wire on the alarm first to see if it will stop the fuse from blowing.

I only tapped the Black/Yellow starter wire. I took the alarm off my '97 that got totalled and it only had the Black/Yellow wire tapped, the Black/White wasn't touched.

the only thing i can think of is that when u were connecting the wires to the ign harness u pulled on it and its not fully connected to the cylinder. but i usually have both starter wires connected. i would wiggle the harness to see if its loose at all.

The wires seemed fine. I reconnected the Black/Yellow wire and unpluged the the remote start relay and it still doesn't start. When I put the key to the start positon all the dash lights come on and then if i hit the hazard light button they all go off. If I hit the hazard light button when the key is out i get a weird buzzing noise under the dash. I just need to get the car starting, I never used the remote start so I don't need it now.

I know nothing about wiring/alarms, but the guy that did mine tapped into one of my injectors. Is it cranking?
