My 1990 S13 now has an Injen intake, 8mm MDS plug wires, and a Magnaflow muffler. But the car is still too slow. No power.

What would be the best mods to do for now?

Headers? I'm still looking for CARB approved street legal.

Cat-Back exhaust?

Change to a DOHC 1991 engine?

Skyline engine?
I live in California where you can't really change engine years or engines.

go ka-t....its sohc power for i guess if you dont want to do the dohc swap....sohc is more custom work...just to let you know

Get an LSD off a NON-TURBO 300zx (z32 model) and you will notice a huge difference.

Pretty much anything you do to your car as far as engine swaps go is illegal in CA so look into a different car with power already.

1.get another car evo, sti , cheap but fast srt 4 anything like that and u will be fast
2.injen cold air intake, Torque control valve ,lsd,Hot shot headers ,light weight aluminum flywheel, stage 2 clutch,bigger injectors,tuned ecu lil stuff liek that would help
3. get a motorcycle

yup if your going for street legal and you live in CA you bought the wrong car to build up for power.

you can do a lot of suspension and drivetrain mods, but even an intake will probly land you in a state ref. ive heard several members on this forum whove gotten tickets for their carb legal K&N filters.

so just drop and RB or SR in there and drive safe, or jump on the KAT bandwagon, or get another car with more power..

you know what he is refering to, just another "no search button" guy, i know theres a whole bunch of engines b4 the actual RB series and my appology for not stating them. but these kind of post just get me fustrated. why dont he just get more experience in his car b4 yelling "hey my car dun have enough power, i got a CAI, plug wire, a MUFFLER (not even a cat-back)"
common do a lil research on power upgrade b4 asking such question, and in stead dreaming of an "Skyline" engine, look at the off topic and chat section for hood poping thread.

Say, I've been looking into turboing my SOHC, it seems like the jgs website is down? are they out of business now? any suggestions for SOHC parts for a build? thanks!
