i have a 5speed trans out of an s13 coupe with dual cam.

no doesnt grind, had a small wine but used lucas and went away no shifter assembly, millage is around 150k, did not pop out of gears, and shifted smoothly before it was pulled.

since the shift assemb is off already you might want to look into replaceing the shifter springs but not necessary(sp?)
