Where do you buy your rb20det parts?

Hey guys,
Im thinking of doing a rb20det swap into my s13 240sx. I have been trying to make a list of parts which I will want to add onto the engine, but I am having a hard time trying to find them compared to the sr20det which is everywhere.

What sites do you guys buy your parts from? (especially canadian ones since I am located in BC)

They don't make them anymore. Get an RB25DET

I think the rb25 is a little too much for me hah. more wieght, more fuel consumption? more expensive?

You need to do more research. More weight? Negligable if at all. Its .5 of a liter in a engine that is basically steel block aluminum head on both engines.
More fuel consumption? Not enough difference again to matter. More expensive? Yes, same price as a good SR Clip though. RB20's are cheap because no one wants them. Importers have a harder time selling them. There are at this time a lot more parts available for the RB25DET and several different brands of install kits. The HP potential is much higher on the 25 and its stock HP is already 250HP. Unless your broke as hell in the end its just a better idea to run the 25.

How about the SR20DET from the s15? it comes with 250hp i think without any mods which will be nice cause im a noob. A friend of mine is being a prick. He said he'll only help me put an engine in if its an SR20DET.

Im so confused on what to do. Are all of those parts I see on websites for the SR20DET fit on either the s13, s14, s15? are they interchangable?

you need to start reading. Your asking questions that are well covered here on the forum if you use the search function. Its all there and to answer your last questions would be to reiterate already posted information. Good luck the search button is your friend.

Search noob. Don't even think about engine swaps yet because you dont have a clue. And yes 95% of SR20 parts are interchanable regardless of which year the car it was in. Like I said, search. or research.

listen Joe Cocky, I gave you good info the first time around when you were asking about the RB20. Then you come back and questions about the SR that are, shall we say, just a little more covered here on the forum. I don't believe you searched, because if you had gone into the tech section you would have seen a sticky spefically about SR's. I help you and then tell you the search and you come back with this. stop posting and come back when you know something.

hey, umm how about you sip a nice cup of STFU and search. Dont get butt hurt just cuz everybody is telling you the truth. All your swap questions have been asked and answered COUNTLESS times before. Not only on here, but there are several other sites that have this information. Google much? IF you REALLY had searched you wouldnt have had to start this thread in the first place. Stop looking for a handout.
