Ok, I'm in Tulsa, OK now, but I'm moving to LA in a couple months.  I have a OBDII car...a 98 240sx.  I have heard really good things about the most recent hotshot header, but I know it replaces the cat.  From what I was told, the box that that my n1 dual exhuast bolts up to that looks like a cat, really isn't a cat.  I was told the actual cat is up further closer to my stock manifold, and that I can get the newest hotshot header, and then put a highflow cat where my n1 dual bolts up to.

Is this true?  And if I do this, how can I make sure it will pass emmisions before I go out to california.  If i'm going to have to weasel my way thru emmissions, I'd rather just have a turbokit then an NA car.

Also with a new header will my exhuast be louder then it already is?  It's not obnoxious, but it could be if I got a header that made it louder.  Thanks for all your help guys.  You all rock my socks off.  Hope to see some of you in California soon.
