As the title states, has anyone used an 89-90 Slave cylinder with a 91+ Master cylinder?

The Master is 3/4" bore and the slave is 11/16" bore. I searched and found ONE thread, but i'm not sure if it's verified information. My main concern is not physical compatibility, but whether or not the master cylinder will push the inner piston on the slave cylinder out too far and blow it out.
