car is completely stock, never been modified.. brakes and all other lights worked fine.. just few days ago i made sure brake lights are good.. today one of my friends was driving behind me to tell me none of my brake light work... managed to get pulled over on the way home to fix it by the dear CA popo's! hhahaah.. and all that chat we had on getting pulled over ref'ed and etc.. i was balls were shakin' haha.. luckily good old sweet talk got me out without them asking a single question besides tailights..

anyways back to problem.. checked all fuses, bulbs and etc.. i'm thinking its the brakeswitch by the pedal.. they both look in great condition.. no loose wires and etc.. question; does the switch need to click when brake is pressed in? if someone could just advise on how that system operates if possible.. many tks!
