Diamond in the rough perhaps? lol **PICs**

Diamond in the rough or a pile??

You Decide lol. I see a green diamond myself.

Alright well iam in the market for a s13 thats fairly cheap as a project car and I stumbled across one today.

Yah...Looks terrible right?

The story on the car...Called mom and dad eariler and they let me know that their son had gotten into a "little fender bender" with the car..(I laughed when they said it) The car is totaled from a standpoint.

Car needs a total new front end, Another great thing about it is, their son drove it like that for a little while and the wiring harness just happend to find its way in the fan and CHOP!!! No more car lol..

The wiring harness seriosuly got cought in the fan somehow.

The motor has 56,XXX miles on it (which is great since its a replacement motor)

The plans I had already was to do the s13 front end conversion anyways so that basically covers everything in the front. Motor is being swapped out for a SR20DET + Goodies.

Cost of car:$500

Worth it?

Let me guess, this is your first s chassis?

I would stay away from that car. I personaly have seen much better cars for that price.

Since you have so many plans, why don't you just purchace a clean shell with harness?

don't get it. i have learned my lesson when buying "fixer uppers" many unnoticed things need to be replaced. and even the "new" things don't work like they should.

Wouldnt it be fine if I used the wiring harness that came with the SR clip?

If there is any frame damage what so ever its a no go. They are asking 900$ if you can believe it.

240s are rare around these parts, dont see them very often.

Then you should make a road trip out to cali, because I can assure you that car will be a headache. Nothing is worse than an elec. nightmare.

But on the other side, you have money for a sr, install bits, silfront, paint.

Go ahead...

DC,MD,VA

PA/NC Perhaps.... Kinda out of towing range though.

eh theyre not thaaaaaaaaaaat rare in the dc area... in a weekend i saw multiple s13's, one exactly like my own...

dont buy yourself a beaten wreck unless you have a few grand saved up to immediately dump into it... there are tons of guys up here in ct who pass s13 shells around to each other for next to nothing after wasting hundreds on incompleted rebuilds... find a nice driver for 1500 and buy this green one only for the engine if at all.. it'll be cheaper in the short and long run

Hmmm..

perhaps ill keep looking around and see whats up.

So to anyone who has done the s13 conversion its direct bolt up so its easy peasy iam assuming.

Now a 13.4 or 13.5 conversion is hard as hell? How difficult is it really? Looks more difficult than a motor swap.

Whats the deal with the "Sil80" can somebody please explain what that is. Still trying to get all the lingo down. Toyota guy here.

do that car a favor and pitch a pipe bomb loaded with 1000 ball bearings encased in thermonuclear sacs.

That car is bucket waste of money status.

That radiator support is bent, not to mention all the time and money and shit it'll take to get it running.

Remember time is money, and that thing is way too much time to be worth that money you're spending.

Black interior, low mileage twin cam, 5 speed... Looks like a great parts car to me. I'd NEVER try to make a DD out of that car though.
Offer them 450 for it since its so fucked up.

I'm shocked that nobody has given you shit about reffering to the Silvia conversion as "an S13 front end conversion". lol

yeah, that's $200 max.
You need to have the front end straightened, new core support, front sheetmetal, then unfucking of wiring harness and face questionable engine (due to coolant excursion).

Poeple here must be high when they list the prices for the car. Must be very diffrent in cali to find one then it is here.

Not a whole lot of them around really. The ones you do find seems to be a jacked up price.
