s14 Rotating 'wum' noise from front driverside (S14)

I have a rotating 'wum' noise on the driver side front wheel area that occurs from 10mph to 50mph where it gets faster as you go and quieter as you go faster. I found a flat spot on the tire so I rotated it to the back. No fix. I checked for play on the wheel on the hub and there was none (wheel bearing symptom). Also I have heard if the wheel bearing is going bad it's a consistant growl noise. I have stock brakes which seem to be fine wear wise. The driverside rotor and pad seem to catch more when the front is in the air, but the rotor is smooth and the wheel doesn't catch at a certain point (not warped).

The driverside wheel doesn't spin as easy as the passenger wheel though. Almost like there is more friction from the pad on the rotor.

Is there anything else I can check before buying parts to solve this problem or any other suggestions on what this could be?

can't hear it when the window is down, or on decel b/c of exhaust, can hear it with the window up, it's loud enough to cause concern. i can feel it if i put my foot by the foot rest near the wheel well.

thats most likely a wheel bearing or a shitty spot in your tire tread or sidewall. does it shimmy or pull at all?

pulls slightly, but it's properly aligned...no steering wheel or body shimmy

pull the wheel off and take off the caliper and rotor so you can spin just the hub. if its rough or loose you may have to replace it to get the noise to stop. im pretty sure that those are non serviceable bearings but you may want to check the fsm to make sure. hope that helps.

you will have to replace your hub bearing, in that case... its pretty easy todo if you know somewhere with a press...
