hey im wondering what year of the 240 sx should i buy for a decent racing car.. like stop light racing

also..

what parts could make it better?

you could turbo a 240sx or you couldswap a motor in it.

good point u got there...

but compaired stock to stock, the fastest would be a 91 base coupe w/o option.

the 91 had hotter cams, its actually same as nismo cams, just don't have NISMO printed on them.

the 91 240 runs 0-60 in 7.9 sec
other year, such as mine, 93, runs 0-60 in 8.3 sec

the coupe is 50lbs lighter than the hatch if u compaire it w/ the same options.

sun/moon roof adds quite a few weight

A/C takes power away from the engine

power window is heavier

the 240 isn't a very fast car to start w/, so you must pick your opponent wisely.  for examlpe, u run w/ a civic si that runs 0-60 in 6's, ur doomed, or a m3 that does 5's ur doomed, or a mclaren or bugattin, ur doomed for sure.  now if u see a civic ex or ls, go for it
