![]() im going to go look for a electric fan so i dont have to use the clutch fan on the sr20.I have the stock sr20det radiator in a s13. What electric fans are you guys using ...im thinking of using a ford one off a 3.8 its a 2 speed fan that flows 4000 cfm to 4200 cfm but im worried that will be to much amps for that little altenator. What do you use and how well does it cool?

the fan that I used came from I belive the lastest model whatever year that is. there was an old SHO there and they have the same fan. only problem with the fans are you have to make and stand-off bracket of some sort. the fan has no shield around it and will rub a hole in your radiator. I was almost late for work and found anything around me. I used to soda tops, poked two holes in each and zipped tied one top to the top and bottom of the fan and it stayed on with no issues for 2 months untill I put the s14 radiator/fan combo in.
also make sure you wire with relay and inline fues to protect your electrical system |
