Question clutch noise

When I press my clutch in, no noise occurs until i rev the engine 2000rpm or more. but when I let off the clutch the noise stops. I was maybe thinking that its throwout bearing but im not sure. If I need to replace my clutch how hard is it to do on a s14. I dont have access to a lift.

Dropping the tranny in your backyard is doable but a royal pain in the ass. I rather pull the motor/tranny out but if you just want to drop the tranny here's how:
- drain the fluids
- unplug lower harness
- pull out shifter
- unbolt driveshaft and put it out of the way
- loosen motor mounts so that you can swivel tranny and have access to top bellhouse bolts
- use a long ass 1/2 extension to reach the bellhouse bolts - power tools make life easy
- lower tranny slowly, use a jack, get some help.
- do your dirty deed
- assembly: follow steps in reverse

have fun.

gogo ManoNegra - I've done it, it works. Buy some ramps/helpers, and it's doable in an afternoon.
