Hey i was wondering have any of you 240 owners with an sr20 swap raced an 91 mr2 turbo charge.  Cause i have and i just wanted to know if i should've have killed the mr2 by more than 2 car lengths.  I have a front mount intercooler down pipe dump pipe full catback exhaust.  I'm estimateing i have 240 hp stock psi.

I'm by no means an MR2 guru, but depending on his mods (i.e. if he was completely stock) I could believe an SR20DET powered 240 (regardless of which year) would beat an MR2 by 2 car lengths... I don't know bout on the drag strip, but in a freeway race it's completely possible.
What did this MR2 have?
Basically yes, I'd believe it. DP and exhaust will 'free up' a good amount of power, and the FMIC is always nice.

On stock psi w/ your upgrades you don't have 240hp you have more like 220hp.  Once you start pushing more boost you will feel the difference and say "damn now I am at 240hp"  I am at 12psi and w/ the SMIC probally looking at about 230hp-240hp but the dyno will tell...hehe!

BTW I have never raced a turbo MR2 so I can't give you any knowledge.  As long as you beat him that's all that mattered

If you beat him that is strange but then again it depends on the driver and mods.are you sure he was turbo cus not all mr2's are turbo.But the ones that are are fast as all get out that little 2.0 turbo is nasty when it gets goin.

yea the mr2 is turbo because its an buddy of mine but i was amazed by the car length i beat him by cuz i stop racing him in 2nd gear.  this is at stock boost
