sleepy eyes
you know this way of doing sleepy eyes
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...q=240SX+SLEEPY well i dont know if this will work but what if you substitute the switch that controls the flipping of the headlights for a potentiometer so you can adjust how fast the headlight flips up?? I havent seen anyone try that yet and i would try it but im lazy and its cold outside. Any electronic wizards out there?? |

i personally think its easier to just get the pivot unit. i did the thing he did in the vid, but the pivot unit is so much easier to install and is so much cleaner.

dude im not saying i found the way to do sleepy eyes...im asking if you can use a potentiometer in place of the switch. This way is super easy, all you do is plug wires onto terminals and stuff, i cant justify spending 100 bucks on a thing that makes your cars headlights "sleepy", now i have all this stuff in my garage and i bet most people do too, so this would be free.
Now i know people have opinions and you can voice them freely, its your right as an american, but i asked a question and if your not gonna help me get the answer or if your gonna provide some more information, please dont post. Apparently smelly240 didnt even read my question. |

well i guess but this way lets you control the light and hopefully if someone actually helps me answer this question, the headlight could be adjusted in small increments.

lol I havent answered this yet, so here goes my one sleepy eye tutorial this year:
the headlight switch actually doesnt control the motors, theres a seperate headlight controller box below. Rewiring directly from the motors to the pot could get you what you're looking for, and will help eliminate the left/right delay most of us have. Its a pain though, which is why some pay $100 for that lame Pivot controller. If you want your lights on while sleepy, which is pointless unless you're flashing high beams at drift days, you'll have to rewire; otherwise just cut the brown wire and doubleclick that shit
