i would be interested in it for sure. ive seen the kits they sell on ebay and they look pretty smooth. its about time someone decided to bring this aero to the u.s. market like how origin has theres. now my only question is what are the prices individually? (i.e. side skirts or rear valance)

- Nizzan4u2nv: actually thats not the case...first of all, im a good friend of the owner of Shine project....and from what ken had told me, its not that they dont have zenki love..lol...but its because they had been pushing their kits mainly for the FDs and the 86es therefore, they have not made many 240sx kits...
now, im trying to help them to jump on the 240sx community hence broadens their market in selling their high quality kits. Trust me, their kit is the Shiz...what ever you call it. in a good way.... =P

come on ppl, show some hands so we can get them made...we are tring to see interests before we actually have the kit made.....

this kit will be copied exactly from the OEM parts, therefore, it will be just like the OEM kit.

- oneighty: i think the price for the front bumper is $325 abd the side skirts $325 and the rear valences $250...i still gota confirm it with ken...not very sure, but this will be a guesstimate.

- CHARLIE2020: i think that someone already made the copy of S13 silvia aero bumper , i have seen them on ebay before...therefore, there is no point of making another one if they sell it cheaper than us.

and as far as the AERO sideskirts, it would be good, but im thinking that it would be later down the line....

right now, our focus is to try to push this kit for the S13 hatches..because so far, IMO, there is no body in the US who has made the copy of this kouki kit...and now that we have the complete set, we want to be the first to have it available to all of you.

- Pank: What kind of S14 Rear bumper, can you specify?

Well that might be true but usually ebay stuff is crap it be nice to see it be done in good quality although I haven't seen the ebay Areo myself im willing to bet its not as good or flexible like the example you've shown and the fitment looks good on the Z33

Are they just gonna straight up copy it (with molded lip/side piece)? I mean I'm not going to get into this whole to copy or not copy aero argument, but a lot of these US companies that produce "affordable" aero do have talent and I wish they could make something unique with their skills, ability, and resources. Are they gonna tweak it at all?

Take Hotroad for example, its kouki inspired but I wouldn't call it a copy, know what I mean?

On a side note, BMagic already made a copy of the Kouki 180sx front (with 89-90 bumper lights) but for some reason it never really got popular for some reason.

There are plenty kouki inspired kits. I think people go nuts for the OEM fitment though. Thats gonna be the main focus here.

I'd jump on that deal in a minute! I've been waiting forever for shine street to get their act together and produce an OEM replica kit. Thank goodness they're finally considering it.

I would totally be down with a front bumper, if I had one request, it would be to delete the liscene plate spot on the bumper, and make it smooth. if someone wants to install a plate, thats fine, they can put in a braket. but for those of us front plate-less, it would look better without.

PS: im not the owner or worker there, im just a friend of the owner. and trying to make this kit happen. so if you have any new ideas, i cant make the decision, but all i can do is talk and consult it with ken (owner of shine).

ok, to answer all of your questions:

- CHARLIE2020: i think that cartune/ c-tune or something like that...they used to sell the fiberglassed S13 silvia aero bumper on eBay....back then, it was located in nevada i think...but as far a copying that, i will have to talk to ken (shine project owner) and see what his stand point is...as long as its gonna be a popular sell, im sure he will be down for it. in other words, we dont want to make something that onle a couple people buying...we want something that will be a popular sell, just because making the mold and the process, etc..is very expensive.

- Logan fomr A-Spec: as far as copying the kit, it will be pretty much exact, as in the front bumper molded with the lip and side pieces and same with the sideskirts will be molded, but the rear will stay in 3 pieces. there wont be any "tweaking" , but the only thing that they may do prolly license plate frame elimination..not too sure, still gotta talk to ken, but i think if its only small things im pretty sure that they can do a little tweaking.
and the B-magic bumper kouki replica, to me, it looks like it was copied off the Uras kit. believe me, uras made the kouki replica too, witht the zenki tunsignals. i have seen the bumper, and IMHO, it doesnt look good at all, and it sits too high. and another thing is that buying kits from B-Magic is like mickey mouse thing. sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you get the very shitty fitment. but at Shine Project, they make sure that each and every kit is made according to the order. and as you can see from the pics, their fitment is very nice. No "mickey mouse" deal here.

- KwKouki: exactly, many people wat to have the OEM look, kind of clean, not so bizzare style.

- S13 silvia girl: hehe...i think in japan, you prolly can find them cheaper, but in the states, it gets expensive, basically shipping charge, and all that..
if you get lucky, you may get it cheap, but thats if youre lucky. =D

- 2iv0 Sx: that may happen according to the pepular demand. so it may come later down the line. not soon though...they actually are very busy right now, as they have many other new projects thats happening right now. and even to make this kouki kit happen, its still on the waiting list. trust me, they are very busy.

- i8yourfwd: individual pricing will be: FB $325 SS$325 R-addon $250

-rest of the ppl: yep, the more interests (demands), the faster this project will go into production. as far as eliminating the license plate holder, i will have to talk to ken and have him make the decision.

thank you all! please show more hands! we need more buyer.

Then install one of those plate holder thingies, or put it to the side like I plan on doing if this happens. looks better than that mount thing imho.

definetly tell them not to change the look of the front bumper, but at least make the front lip optional. If there's a license plate holder that looks OEM then delete the license plate spot.

If shops would stock badass JDM aero, i would say this but...if they wanted to make money they should make 180sx, rx-7 sexy style intercepter and s14 works9 replica's (BTW, their s14 kouki type 1 and 2 bumper is kind of affordable 20,800-24,000 yen, imo type 2 looks sick, somebody should start stocking those...but their f-magic kits (similar to shineauto's flexable FPR) would end up costing too much after shipping, customs taxes, and all that stuff)

If i was them i would make a sexy style 180sx bumper with s13 zenki turn sigs (kouki parking lights cost $120-150, screw that) and maybe make the top section of the front bumper like DRFT and origin streamline...That would be SIIIIICK! Guarrentte that would sell...DO IT!!! Fuck the kouki bumper, hahaha

www.sexystyle.info
www.works9.com

Koguchi's car has an OEM bumper with molded vent, you can kind of see the line inbetween the front bumper and side piece. I remember reading that dousan pg seen it in person and said its oem.

Word.
Nobody here in the states has talent anymore, no passion for design. Just copycats trying to keep up with last years designs hoping to pick up the slack. Anybody can make a mold from an original part and pump some urethane thru it and call it a part.

ok...as far as making other kits, we will do that..but later. at this time i really want to see the people's hands of who want to have this production of the kouki kit going, in other words, i want to see:

please post and answer these questions:
- are you interested?
- if this happens, which part will you buy? FBonly/SSonly/R-addons only? or the whole kit?
- would you like to have the plate holder removed or not?
- any concerns regarding the kit?

please post ONLY regarding this kit. not S14 kits and so on...im trying to get the interests of this kit ONLY.

- RiceEata: YES, koguchi's FB is actually OEM. i have see it in person too. he only had the front air vent molded on there.

Thank You. have a nice day.

Nahhhh man can't copy the Works9 bumper, that defeats its awesomeness

Actually yea Riceeata I think you are right...if that is the same red 180 that had 5Zigen Typhoons at some point (the one at OG drift showoff) then yeah I think I remember seeing in person....on that car it does look OEM with that universal middle vent, but I think one of his 180's ran Hotroad at some point.
