SR Cant Get Sr To Idle Or Rev Right !!!!

Ive went over the wiring, and turnd that damn crank angle sensor to every notch on the thing, and still will idle high low or like a v8 it starts every time but it wont rev and is detonating really bad at times so if anyone has any suggestions or advice i would be greatful thanks

Hello IF (IF) your timing is correct I would say look for boost &/or vaccume leaks. Go to FRsport.com they have a very good write up on how to set/check timing & CAS!!! PEACE

lift valve cover as per FSM to set timing, check for leaks, and your AICV could need cleaning too. wont rev- I believe that could be a MAF problem. people iwth faulty MAFs or wiring sometimes say they cant rev past 3000 RPM.

Yup I agree with redsuns that it sounds like a MAF problem. If you're using a KA24E or SR20 MAF, make sure the pins go to the correct place on the ECU - info available a lot of places, but sr-swap.com (Heavy Throttle) has the clearest page.

i have the Sr MAF and yea its stock thats where i got my wiring diagram from thoe was heavy throttle

deff a maf problem, try picking up a z32 maf and follow bjorkluv's write up and see if that fixes your problem, and if not hey at least you've got a z32 maf for later

stock maf likes to crap out alot...
test the maf to see the voltage you're getting...
