engine management for S14Q sr20de with turbo

so as my project is starting to approach a state where it might actually run sometime soon, i just finished building the engine, and i get the car back from the roll cage shop tomorrow. im really considering how im going to actually get this engine to run. initially i had wanted to go the bikirom route, but i just contacted him, and he said he might have more built in about 3 months, plus being how few systems he has out there, and how hard he is to get ahold of seems like customer service might be a difficult thing if i run into a problem.

so my question is what is the best way i can tune this. i do everything myself, and me and a few guys in my shop have a fair ammount of experience tunning. also the budget for this project is running dangerously thin so i really dont have 1500 to dump into a system.

also ive looked at the megasquirt option but im really turned off by the 12x12 map limitation.
