might be the rubber stopper on the back of the brake pedal, look around and check if you see any small pieces of rubber in the driver foot well area. if your brake lights are one all the time then its the stopper

its a common problem, they cost about a buck at the dealer or shove an old door panel faster back there

you might have a wrong bulb in your brake socket

check if you have all the right double fillament bulbs in....

thats what happens when you put a single flillament bulb in place of a double... it will right away short and turn on ur parking lights

have u checked your brake switch, and also take a quick peak at your wiring around the drivers side fuse box and under the dash where you can

it sounds like u have some open wires somewhere

recheck your fuses. Sounds like you have a bad main fuse. It's the one with the white box around it in the fuse layout sticker, 3rd from top right (S13)

Change it and see what happens.

Normally when this happens it's on custom wiring when people don't use diodes. The current flows where it's not wanted and turns on signal when you brake and things like that.

I don't know what you did but unless you rewired the brake lights most likely you have a short.

similar problem on my s13, turns out the socket shorted out, so when i hit the lights it back-fed into the brake lights, killing cruise control. $2 socket fixed that.

download an FSM, there's about 1,000,000,000,000 websites with the info you need on them.

It's gonna be under the EL section.
