how to bleed a sr20det clutch.
does any know how to bleed the clutch for an sr tranny. i need to do it because my clutch isnt hard. every time i press the clutch it goes down quick and it stays on the floor. i have to bring it up with my foot. it doesnt come up by it self. does any one know a website with pics or info. thanks lmk

Leaky Injector

Pump the clutch a few times and hold it to the floor. Unscrew the bleeder on the slave cylinder. Wait for brake fluid to come out, tighten bleeder. Repeat procedure until all of the air is out of the line. Top off the fluid.

Search. and Check the FSM.
I gravity bled mine because I was alone. Just fit a clear home depot line over the screw nipple, turn it, and keep adding fluid to the resevoir until all the bubbles stop comming out. ive heard it takes a while if you have the clutch damper in. I removed mine when I bled the clutch so it only took about 10 minutes to bleed the whole thing. look for a Clutch damper delete DIY thread on zilvia or something. I know there are some out there. itll tell u how to bleed it in the same thread. |
