one of my wires from the distributor is dead, i need to no what this part called. its the wire with the red cap on it

how much does it cost to get a new 1? probly 5-10bucks im hoping..

Those are called spark plug wires. You buy them as a set. Just go to your local auto shop and give them your year,make, and model and they'll get you what you need.

Should cost around 40 bucks.

i just need that 1 wire thats in the pic with the red tip! i dont need the hole set just that part rite there.. the part store said its called the distributor coil or somthing but i dont want to walk down there and have them show me some other part... then id have to um steal it from my neighboor? jk

That's the coil wire. And no, you can't buy it separately in most cases.

And the fact that you even started this thread is proof you need to sell your car and buy a Schwinn.

I have a used one if you want it just pay shipping and handling, and it came out from a running SOHC which #2 wire plug went bad, so my friend have to buy all sets...

i have a new 1 if u want. its a bit longer but it still works
