Thumbs up i seriously have no idea what it is

well i got my s13 89 about a year ago from 2day.. been running good have about 150, on the ka getting the sr in the next couple weeks, but i have one small problem and i want to see if anyone has an idea what it could be. its a problem when my car is rolling, i have this kind of sqeeking noise on the front left tire section, i got it checked and they said your gunna need new rotors, so i got brand new brembo rotors, and the noise isnt as loud but its sounds like if a little piece of metal is sticking out and hitting a part of the rotor or something or some part of the hub.. but im sure something is bent or something because it started when i was driving down the freeway the 91 from riverside thru the toll road and there was a cone in the middle of the lane i swearved for it not to hit my tire and hit some where around the inside of the tire, does anyone have a clue? im thinking it could be the hub but i have no clue what it could be? if anyone has a clue hit me up.. any help is appreciated.. thanx.. latah

The dust shield might be in contact with the rotor.

No what he is talking about is the big plate behind the rotor and that happens alot when people change rotors or pads and dont notice they bend the shield in and it scraps the rotor. You can just take ur hand and bend it back alittle. Also check to see if your brake pads arnt worn out and the indicator isnt scraping the rotor.

so u think if i buy shims it will stop sqealing? well iono it just sounds like a little needle sticking out and hitting one part of the tire at the same particular spot, cuz ill slow it down and its like a perfectly consistant spot, but its weird cuz it wont do it sometimes, and on the worst possible times it comes up really loud, but its wierd because if it was a little bend in something it would be a long squeal like when you break with worn out break pads, but it hits one spot consistantly, and also when i touch the breaks it stops making the noise like when i slow down it shuts up, iono.. thanx tho.. latah

one of my shims got loose and made a nice gash on my rotor not to bad though but the noise was annoying as hell, if it did come lose i'd just take off the pad and re-apply the shim or just leave it out, mine was far out enough to where i just pulled it out with some plyers so i didn't have to take off the pads
