i just got my tranny rebuilt and the shop says to use 30 wieght motor oil in it? dosent that mess up the synchros in your tranny?

too thin? another sr20 shop told me as well that using motor oil in your gear box is cool too (wont mess it up).. dosent the factory manual call for 75-90w for sr/ka manual gearboxes? anyone using 10-30w motor oil in their gearbox?
