weird wire

anyone know what this piece is cause its not attach to anything anymore...my engine was smokin a little after i put on an exhaust. its near the cat.

It bolted to the forward flange of the rear section of the exhaust, by grounding it to the chassis you reduce corrosion on the exhaust system because it shares a common electric point. It's not mandatory with a stainless exhaust but the OE one certainly needs all the protection there is to be had.

doesnt matter if you got it or not..
helps built up static due to exhaust flow faster
