wtf ebrake.

my ebrake only locks when im try to initiate a slide to the left (drivers side) when turning to the right it will not lock at all. now i know my cables are stretched especially my front cable but what would cause just turns to the drivers side to lock and not the passangers? im prrty sure my calipers are fine because there is no wierd feeling from the rear during hard braking. is there a way to adjust the ebrake at the caliper or something else im missing?

thannks!

One of your calipers is probably broken, the spring inside the caliper for the ebrake mechanism gets messed up. Replace the calipers and stop using the ebrake to dorifottttttttttt1!!!!!!!!!!! and you wont have any problems.

wow holy shit u guys kill yourselves. yes i do know, and i use the ebrake to initiate hairpins and correct long slides, lets see u do early entry into a 30mph hairpin with out using the ebrake lol. looks like u guys have been watchin 2 much drift bible .

now back on topic, is there anyway to check where the cable meets the caliper for proper funtion? or do i need to just replace it and hope for the best

wow, everyone sucks now.

The ebrake cable runs below the tranny tunnel, and meets up at a head, which then is connected to two cables, running to both calipers.

Most likely one of the cables isn't connected at the head, and therefore isn't locking up.

I haven't used this picture since 05!

If you think you are a pro, install a hydraulic handbrake, like any motorsports car (rally, drifting isnt a motorsport) does. Using the ebrake cables is not the proper way to engage the rear calipers and you will keep breaking them.

Get a hydraulic handbrake, and use the parking brake... for parking.

Seriously...... is zilvia just attracting more trolls or are people really this fucking stupid??

I think its time to clean house and ban anyone with red squares.

Check your ebrake connection.

Chances are the caliper is frozen so it doesn't come out when you pull the ebrake. If thats the problem just buy reman'd calipers.

I went through hell and back with my ebrake...the only thing that fixed it was buying new calipers.
