OK, my pass. side right rear wheel suddenly started squeaking when the car is rolling. It looks like the e-brake cable isnt pulling back fully since the squeak dissapeared when i yanked it back and sprayed it w/ wd40. But a couple hours later it came back again.
Anyone have a better fix for it. Do I just need to lube up the cable better? Thanks, Greg |

could it be your brake master cylinder.. maybe it is off and draging a bit on that wheel and the e-brake cable is applying just enough pressure to ride the brakepad for that wheel?
i don't know

Did you apply your ebrake after the squeak went away at all? It might have jammed again.
I'd say change your brake pads still. It should fix everything.

Yeah, it turned out to be the pads. I replaced them and all is well again.
Took me forever to get the one side changed, but the other was a breeze, guess I just got the hang of it. The drivers side pads looked practically new, while the pass. side ones were very worn, and one pad was practically completely gone. What would cause the uneven wear on the pads?? Is there an adjustment I should make, or should it all be fine now that there are new rear pads? |
