How to spot blown shocks, Help
well i just bought some used suspension of a local guy. I belive i had stock shocks and springs (used modded car) befor but i was pretty sure they where blown. The suspension i bought is RS*R race springs, KYB AGX 8-ways, and tein camber plates for 250. The guy said it wasn't blown but im not so sure since they ride pretty Damn stiff. I have front set at 2 out of 4 and rear at 5 out of 8. I know the rates on the spring are pretty high but damn this is almost as bad as my old blown crap. Are there any tell tale signs of shocks being blown other than oil on strut. Thanks
Also does anyone know which setting/# is stiffest and which is softest.

I have the same shocks on sportlines, the easiest way to tell if they are blown is if you go over a bump, like a 2x4 slowly they bounce, or if you shove your car down and it bounces. If you take them off and take the springs off, the best way to check is if you push in teh shock shaft and it doesnt come back out.
(mine are blown) 1 is soft 8 is hard run them at 1-2 on the street if they arent blown or else they will blow soon!

With springs that stiff, you can't easily tell with them on the car. The only real way to tell is to put them on the dyno.
You can also remove the shocks from the car, and remove the springs from the shocks. Push down on the shocks, and it should be fairly difficult to push down. Then let go, and it should take a while for them to come back out. If the collapse easily when you push down or if they pop out real fast, then they're most likely blown.
