does the MAS give you shit when you vent to the atmosphere like on a lot of DSMs? Or do you have to recirculate it?

There is nothing wrong with a BOV venting to the atmosphere. hell, it's even been filtered <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> if your wastegate vents to the atmosphere, that's bad, but a blow of valve is just fresh air.

i have a blitz atmosphere bov, and my car was a little smoother after shifts at low speed without it, when im hauling ass i cant even tell the difference. &nbsp;im pretty sure every car is different though, my car has never died because of it but occaisionally i do get a pretty loud fireball. i have heard of other people having trouble.

With a mass air flow sensor, venting the bov can cause some problems. Basicaly the ecu is expecting to see the air that was vented to the atmosphear, it adds the normal ammount of fuel to match. Meaning that you have a sudden rich contition when off throttle. This is more of a problem with KA-T's. I have known tons of people that vent to the atmosphear with SR and don't have any problems with that.

I would say "most" of the people I know with SR's &nbsp;just vent to the atmos. and don't really have any probs the occasional stumble but that's it. &nbsp;Also the Apexi S-AFC has a function in it to help with this, although I have heard mixed things about its effectiveness. &nbsp;
Also vented justs sounds so damn cool, you can scare unsuspecting pedestrians and the dude in the Honda next to you.

And for the record, ALL wastegates vent to the atmosphere they just go through the exhaust system first. &nbsp;But you can even vent them out withoust going through the exhaust (sounds pretty crazy)
