Setting the car up for the track PICS!
I am shooting to make it for the April 8th track event at Buttonwillow raceway... Pretty fast and flat track where I hear you are mostly in third and fourth gear (but I have never been there)...
My car has been down for over a year now and this weekend I am planning on turning it on again and driving it for the first time with the "new" setup... Other than dropping in the twin scroll KAT, a LSD, and some suspension parts this is what the car is looking like for this event: 225K KA24E - Bone stock, perfect compression, maintenance up to date Buddy Club Spec 2 80mm exhaust KTS coilovers 17x9 +20 FN01RCs all around 245-40-17 Bridgestone RE01Rs all around Hawk Blue pads Energy Suspension master bushing set SPL solid subframe bushings Welded diff Here are some "how to" style threads about the buildup... http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=163440 http://forums2.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=159071 http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=160757 And here is how the car is looking now... I still have to get the car aligned... What do you prefer?... The laser/computer method or the manual measuring method? And what suspension settings do you recommend? Camber, Toe, Caster... |

Damn, That looks good...
If it were me I would have it aligned somewhat like this: Camber: Front:-2.5 Rear:-2 Toe:0 Caster:8 That's just me. I like how it feels. I would go laser. It seems more precise. Good luck at the track. Just my 2 cents Conner

a little toe upfront makes it turn in like whoa. Definitely about an 1/8'' toe out and rear 1/8'' toe in. Toe out on the rear can be really wild under braking. You're going to want a lot of caster too.

Fired up the car today for the first time in months...
Drove it around with the alignment all over the place... It feels like a big gocart without the acceleration... Exhaust is really loud but sounds good if you give it some gas... Going to get it aligned tomorrow and I'll let you know how it feels... |
