Opinions on full race twin scroll manifolds?
I ditched my rb25det project and decided to stick with the sr. What is everyone's opinion on the gen 2 from full race? Anyone had any experience with em?

yeah, check out the said thread on freshalloy (I searched on Zilvia but failed to find anything here). I would have offered a link, but i'm not sure if thats the ethical thing to do on Zilvia. based on the dynos, it seems like a fun product! Its also not that much more costly than their regular top mount manifold setup.
I'm no expert, but the impression i gather is that the twin scroll mani w/ the atp twin scroll 3071r turbo offers about the same response as a 2871r, but at the power levels of a regular 3071r. also, i think i read somewhere (pls dont quote me) that Full Race mentioned a twin scroll setup stresses the motor out less than a comparable regular 3071r setup. overall, seems like the idea is stirring up a good deal of controversy there, and for good reason. If I were you, i'd prob wait a bit longer to see how this setup works out in the long run. its only been released for about 1/2 a year iirc. |
