s13 Anyone heard of this exhaust?

Has anyone heard how this sounds like on a 240? It's a Megan Racing Type-2.

Looks like Megan is copying people who get custom exhausts to look stealthy.
... let's just hope the price isn't ridiculous compared to the custom, otherwise it ain't worth it.

haven't heard it, but my first megan with the can style muffler was one of the best souding 3" exhausts i've heard... That looks sweet though.

EDIT- Thats not for a 240, and where is the resonator?

Fair enough and the description of it plays right up to my previous post...
My custom one has been on the car for almost a year, and the price was not NEAR that painful.

Buy two Walmart muffler tips, and put them on your stock exhaust. The look and performance will be the same, for about $370 less.

Actually, the pics are a bit deceiving. The muff is tiny. I was disappointed when my order came in.

Through all the exhaust systems I ran (KA-T) this is THE loudest I've ever heard.

Systems on my car included:
- Custom 3'' turbo back w/Catco no resonator to Apexi N-1 can
- Dual N-1 w/Catco (obviously resonator included)
- Megan Racing Type 2 (similar to pictured just all shiny) w/Catco no resonator

The dual N-1 sounds stock compared to the Megan system. But, the Megan system will make you freaking def in a month! No rasp. Louder than a mofo under load...I wear ear plugs so I'll have hearing when I'm old.

Yeah, go ahead and call me gay/lame or a puss but trust me, playing in a band and knowing how ears work and what makes them deteriorate you'd start wearing plugs too!

The Megan system just sounds so crazy awesome from 4,000 on up!! I swear I'm in a SuperGT car!!!!

JIC makes a nifty looking single in dual out that should sound super deep since the muff looks huge.

I'll try to get some sound clips up.

LOL, boring is true...c'mon your Socal...then again your not in San Diego county where they'll roll anything that's dropped.

Big and shiny usually results in pretty red and blue lights and a hood pop lately. Then again it depends on the area your at or what mood the copper is in. Sleeper is the way to roll in the hood I'm in...that's why I bought the Megan system.

My a$$ dyno tells me this megan system flows better than the Dual N-1.

Looks just like the Circuit Sports 3" system that I've seen around on a few KAs. I'll take my Apexi WS Noir (3" all the way through, but stock-evo sounding and looking), especially if the Megan one is as loud as the CS is - I'm in the same boat as Donkayroo, tryin to roll around without gettin my hood popped.

I remember I drove down to get my custom exhaust made with no cat back on. That was entertaining. Cops gave me a funny look but didn't pull me over.

MY friend drives a Cressida with 2 4" tips jutting vertically out past his rear bumper, as high as his roof, with no cat, and you can hear it from a mile away. Yet he never gets pulled over.

You people are too paranoid, or you drive like assholes and that's why you get pulled over.

Why not just keep stock exhaust? If you're too afraid to have a little shiny stuff then why even bother at all?

We all have gotten away with shayte we shoulda gotten rolled for...who cares! What matters is when you do get rolled when you least expect it.

"You people are too paranoid, or you drive like assholes and that's why you get pulled over.

Haha...like I said...let me quote myself "Then again it depends on the area your at or what mood the copper is in."

Too paranoid or drive like assholes and that's why you get pulled over...hmph.

Ignorance is such bliss on these forums. Hehe...lemme repeat myself again "...it depends on the area your at or what mood the copper is in."

Even if we did drive like assholes a fix it ticket would be the least of our worries! I'd be more concerned about getting popped for reckless driving and points added to my DMV public and private records!!

Dude, why is it so hard for people to keep their smart ass "know-it-all" comments to themselves? Poor Mdl_Pin0y just inquired about an exhaust system, that's all. Oh yeah, I forgot, it's ZILVIA.

Seriously, I'm not trying to start a flame war here so peace be with you, and also with you.

It's all in good fun. Some folks just have to understand people have their preferences. It's not that anyones a chicken sheet. We just had our hood popped one too many times because we were in the wrong place at the wrong time and prefer not to deal with the hassle. For all I know half of the guys reading this thread never liked the look of a humongo ginormous can dangling from under the bumper anyways.

So enough with the mumbo jumbo and on with the pics!

Took pics with and without the rear valence. The weld quality is actually pretty dam good and the whole system bolted together isn't very heavy.

Subtle look and 3'' from cat back with big beefy flanges and super fat bolts that'll rust if you don't grease or antiseeze them! The piping and muff has held up and there is zero signs of rust. Only some discoloration.

The exhaust isn't as low as it appears...it's camera angle and lighting that make the system look as if it will drag. I've never scrapped this cat-back at all and I've been up, down and over driveways and ramps that have kissed the custom system and the dual N-1.

If you're careless and don't position your car with enough angle at the peak of a steep ramp your gonna scrap. But, you'll never, or you should never scrap that flange that bolts the muffler to the piping from the cat. Extreme break-over angles will cause the car to high-center near the middle of the car, not towards the rear...speed bumps haven't scrapped this exhaust either. Then again I'm not rolling slammed to the wheel lip on 16's.

Sound clips will be up, eventually.
