TopLine Bearings??

Anyone ever heard of this company. I am rebuilding an SR and trying to decide what bearings to use. The machinist told me he could get TopLine main bearings for $40 and rod bearings for $30. I want to know what bearings you guys suggest cause I searched and can only find these TopLine bearings on Honda sites. I would rather pay more for quality bearings. Let me know.

top line are good oe replacements.....

i will say however, that the 1990 eclipse gsx that i bought for cheap as hell after the guy spent $10k and spent 2 years building, only put 60 miles on it before it cracked the ring lands on the top line pistons. he didn't know it was the ring lands that messed up when he sold it to me, i found that out later when i took the motor apart. he told me from the gate though that out of all the mods he did on that motor, he regretted letting the machine shop guy talk him into the top line pistons instead of another company. after talking with a couple machine shops and dsm guys my conclusion is the 4g63 turbo motors came with forged internals and the non turbo's aren't forged. when you get the pistons from top line, they are correct in that they are for a 4g63 but it doesn't specify whether it is forged for the turbo or not for the non turbo. i therefore am biased and i won't personally risk finding out the hard way that they're shit.

my personal opinion, top line is an aftermarket company that makes aftermarket parts, but not very good aftermarket PERFORMANCE parts. bottom line, i'd rather suggest nissan bearings or another company besides top line. g/l =]

You can go cheap, but if they fail they will cost you a lot of extra $$$$. I don't have any experience with topline, but I've read a few different places say they were junk. Just spend the extra few bucks and get some Clevite bearings.

Yea I was planning on either clevite or ACL bearings. Thanks for the input I will do some more searching and probly get the guy to order something besides TopLine. I mean its all hear say but I would rather order parts that have "good" hear say.

I can get you the clevite bearings for those prices. He's not doing you a favor on those topline's. Topline is a cheap replacement OEM part.. mostly taiwan stuff.
