s14 KA into s13?

I'm confused on something.

I want to put a 96 KA into a 90 s13. No big deal, I'm sure I can get the swap done without issues. What I'm worried about is the OBDII wiring harness and ECU, there is another loom off of the wiring harness leading to the ECU that won't plug into anything on an s13 chassis.

Aside from that.. 90 s13 chassis, 96 KA w/ 96 harness and ECU, this is plug and play right?

s13 harness, and obdI intake manifold... probably a lot easier that way

Why do you suggest an OBD1 intake manifold?

Alot of the OBDII is on the Body harness. You ether have to re-wire the car or just swap some sensors over to the 96 and remove a bunch of the OBDII off the manifold.

This is discussed monthly, you could have tried to research it a little.

91-94 harness, ECU, distributor, MAF, and cluster are needed, and they all plug right in. It is possible to use the 96 parts but it's a lot more wiring involved, and by the sound of it you're not up to the task.

I'm doing the exact same swap and just finished rebuilding the S14 KA...
I'll be making a post with pics on all the steps in another week or two...

i did similar swapping a 97KA into my 92S13, so i didnt need anything, wiring wise, but is the s13 and s14 head the same? just diff cams, correct?
why is it that the valve covers are different then?

Head is not the same, hence the different valve covers, but they do swap if you use all the other matching parts.
